Tomato chutney goes well with any type of dish..Its always good to have this chutney ready..
Ingredients:
Tomato - 2
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 2
Asafoetida
Salt
Curry Leaves
Cilantro
How to Cook:
-- Heat 1tsp of oil.Fry the urad dal,red chilli and transfer it to the blender
--Dice the tomatoes and fry for 2 to 3 mins and let it cool
-- Transfer the tomatoes to the blender
--Add salt,a pinch of asafoetida,few leaves of curryleaves
--Grind it to a smooth paste
--Season it with mustard seeds,a pinch of asafoetida
Serve it with dosa,idli,chappathi or even with hot rice.

Peerkangai /RidgeGourd Chutney
Peerkangai Chutney
Easy dish and can be done in 5mins.When u feel very lazy to make sambar or rasam..u make this chutney and can be served with hot rice..
Ingredients :
Peerkangai - 1 large
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 2
Salt
Asafoetida
How to Cook:
--Peel the peerkangai skin and cut into slices
--Heat 2tsp oil in a pan and add urad dal,red chilli.Fry well
--Transfer it to a blender
--Now add the diced peerkangai and fry for 3mins on a medium flame..till it is roast
--Let it cool
--Transfer it to the blender,add salt, a pinch of asafoetida and grind it to a smooth paste
Tips:
Seasoning is optional..u can season it with mustard seeds with 1tsp of oil.

Green Chilli Chutney
Green chillies - 100
Urad dal - 2 tsp.
Methi seeds - 1/2 tsp.very few
Tamarind paste - 1 tsp.
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Gingely oil/Sesame oil - 3tsp
How to cook:
--Heat the oil.Add urad dal and methi seeds.let it splutter.transfer it to the blender
--Add the splitted green chillies.Cover it for 3mins and stir it well.Now the green chillies skin color will change.
--Allow it to cool for some time.
--Add the green chillies to the blender with some tamarind and blend it well..
--Heat the oil in the pan..transfer the green chillies paste to the pan and mix it well with a pinch of asafoetida(hing) for few secs and remove it from heat..
Tips :
Wash ur hand thoroughly after touching the green chillies..Use Thai chillies which will be very spicy..

Coconut Chutney
Ingredients :
Coconut
Green chillies - 4
Coriander leaves-(Cilantro) - few leaves
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Roasted Gram(Bunna channa in hindi and pottukadalai in Tamil)-1 tsp
How to do:
Grind everything in a blender with some very little water and transfer it a bowl.
Season it with mustard seeds,urad dal seeds, a pinch of asafoetida
